Lizzo back on top of U.S. charts to tie rap record

Lizzo may have a lawsuit on her hands after being accused of plagiarising CeCe Peniston's hit nineties single, Finally, for her own hit Juice. She was recently accused of plagiarizing the opening line of "Truth Hurts" - for the second time.

CeCe, who released Finally back in 1992, claims Juice features similar elements in the ad-libs.

Lizzo's "Truth Hurts" has now tied the record for the most weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for a rap song by a female artist.

Earlier this week Lizzo's 2017 single - which modified into a sleeper hit after re-entering the charts this year - modified into as soon as the sphere of scandal after songwriter and producer Justin Raisen claimed to accept as true with written the lyric.

The song is mired in some controversy now, with Los Angeles songwriter Justin Raisen accusing Lizzo of using his lyrics, melody and chords in "Truth Hurts" without giving him credit or compensation. Coming forward publicly to family, friends, artists, and colleagues seems to be the only way at this point in relieving some of our emotional distress caused by this.
