Now, just a few days ahead of its official reveal, an image of the new Jazz (or the Fit as it will be called in few markets) has surfaced online.

Images of the new generation Honda Jazz / Fit have found their way online via what looks like an official model guide in Japanese, revealing not only the design of the new sub-compact but also its trim options for the Japanese market.

Just as many others models within Honda's worldwide portfolio, the 2020 Jazz will be offered in the performance-spec Type R variant. This trait is being carried over since the first gen Jazz launched in India. In fact, the auto seen in this new leaked photo is the new-gen Honda Jazz/Fit Electric Hybrid version. The front profile gets circular headlamps with projector lights and silver inserts.

It comes with redesigned front and rear bumpers, an upright face with decent-looking front grille, front bumper with wider and lower central air intake among other changes.

The interior will remain one of the most practical places to sit in the segment, with the dashboard adopting simple lines and way more tech features than before; this includes a standard 7-inch digital instrument cluster and a new infotainment system with connected services. The fourth-generation Honda Jazz has become more of an MPV than a hatchback with the pillar design, especially at the back.

There are no details of the cabin available at the moment, but we expect a thoroughly revised layout with the new Jazz.

There will be a new 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine on offer along with a hybrid engine that will get either a 1.2-litre powertrain or a 1.5-litre engine.
