"The Rise of Skywalker" is the last film in what has been dubbed the "Skywalker saga" and will the current three-film arc featuring fan favorite characters like Rey, Finn and Kylo Ren.

It only took Luke Skywalker about 12 minutes of screentime to blow-up the Death Star, but tickets for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker could possibly sell out even quicker.

The film marks the return of Abrams to a galaxy far, far away and stars Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Adam Driver, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Anthony Daniels, Naomi Ackie, Domhnall Gleeson, Richard E. Grant, Lupita Nyong'o, Keri Russell, Joonas Suotamo, Kelly Marie Tran, Ian McDiarmid, and Billy Dee Williams. Princess Leia's portrayer died in 2016 at the age of 60, but her alter ego will nonetheless appear in Rise of Skywalker courtesy of previously unseen/unused footage. Tonight, hundreds of thousands of small one-man fighters should be able to penetrate local theater box office outer defenses - and secure tickets to Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.

Atom tickets also confirmed that Rise of Skywalker pre-sales have outpaced even Avengers: Endgame!

The film is produced by Kathleen Kennedy, J.J. Abrams and Michelle Rejwan, and executive produced by Callum Greene and Jason McGatlin.

Roughly two months ahead of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker's colossally anticipated arrival in theaters, the second (and final) trailer for Episode 9 made its debut Monday night during Monday Night Football on ESPN.
