Napoleon's heir marries in spectacular royal wedding in Paris

These two lovebirds may be in the midst of planning their own wedding but that doesn't stop them from taking a break to celebrate another historic royal wedding.

The 31-year-old and her new fiancé put on their finest clothes to attend the high society wedding of Prince Jean-Christophe Napoleon Bonaparte and his bride Countess Olympia von und zu Arco-Zinneberg in Paris, France on Saturday.

London-based private equity manager Jean-Christophe Napoleon Bonaparte, 33, is the great-great-great nephew of Napoleon Bonaparte I, Emperor of France.

"It's a story of love rather than a nod to history", Prince Jean-Christophe said in an interview, per Daily Mail.

According to The Mirror, the Paris wedding marks the first time the former Imperial House of France and the House of Hapsburg have reunited since Napoleon married the Archduchess of Austria nearly two centuries ago.

The wedding took place at the Cathédrale Saint-Louis-des-Invalides in Paris. The wedding reception was held at the 12th century Fontainebleu Palace, where the Archduchess Marie-Louise removed the capelet to show off the Oscar de la Renta gown's strapless bodice.
