Felicity Huffman looks downcast in her prison greens

Felicity Huffman is now serving her 13 day sentence after she bribed an admissions counselor $15,000 to raise her daughter's SAT score.

The former Desperate Housewives star reported to the Federal Correctional Institution in Dublin, California on Tuesday after she was sentenced to 14 days for her involvement in the US college admissions scandal.

On top of her brief prison stay, Hoffman was ordered to 250 hours of community service and a $30,000 fine.

Huffman is expected to serve 13 days in FCI Dublin, finishing her sentencing on October 27.

She told the court at the time, "I take full responsibility for my actions and as a first step for making amends for my crime, I will accept whatever punishment you deem appropriate".

"And I especially want to apologize to the students who work hard every day to get into college, and to their parents who make tremendous sacrifices supporting their children", she said in her statement.

The actress' family, which also includes their daughter Sophia, 19, are allowed to visit Huffman on Saturdays and Sundays from 8 a.m.to 2 p.m. local time. I was frightened, I was stupid and I was so wrong. I am deeply ashamed of what I have done. I have inflicted more damage than I could have imagined.

The actress pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit mail fraud and honest services mail fraud for paying $15,000 as part of a scheme to cheat on her daughter's SAT test scores.
