This new launch screen feature has been spotted in the latest Android beta, after being spotted in the Business beta a few days ago. Case in point: nearly seven months after Twitter made a new "Lights Out" dark mode available to iOS users, the company has finally gotten around to Android users (via Android Police).

We take a look at the new WhatsApp features for iPhones. This update does not bring any major changes apart from a new splash screen with the WhatsApp logo while opening the app, as reported by WABetaInfo. According to reports, WhatsApp's dark mode will not be the usual affair but may come in lesser intensity of the inverted colour. The latest beta version which is 2.19.298 makes the date and event bubbles dark which were light thus far.

While it's a welcome development for the Twitter app on Android, the fact that it's restricted to just Alpha users means you may not see it for quite a while. WhatsApp's splash screen is also available on the Android beta app.

Twitter has been working on implementing the "Lights Out" AMOLED black theme for a really long time. As the name suggests, this feature lets users hide muted status updates. Previously, muted status updates would appear at the bottom of the list. But with this update, muted status updates will disappear from the screen altogether.

WhatsApp dark mode is possibly the most anticipated feature by users. If you are a beta user and want to know if you are eligible, then turn on the system Dark mode on Android 10 or iOS 13 as the app follows the system theme. WhatsApp is expected to roll out dark mode for users very soon.
