Last week after Rihanna's latest Vogue cover dropped, a thread among Black journalist circles erupted on social media regarding access and privilege in regards to white journalists interviewing high-profile Black entertainers. She told Extra, "A lot of women get very defensive". 'To see her be so supportive - it's great to see us supporting each other, and it's always an honor'.

Contrary to her seemingly flustered initial reaction, Rihanna admitted in an interview with Extra that she didn't mind being asked the question that's been on everyone's mind.

"I had literally no notice", she said.

Anna Wintour raised a number of eyebrows when she flat-out asked Rihanna if she wished to "beget a baby soon, ' nonetheless Riri said it changed into as soon as okay for the "Vogue" editor to request this kind of 'personal" request.

But Rihanna's Navy (the name of her fanbase) was having none of Abby's excuses. "I research my subjects to death".

After she had taken the time to gather herself, the superstar answered: "I don't think about things like that, but I don't know. The point was to convey how nerve-wracking this was, given my deep, bordering-on-psychotic reverence for Rihanna", she wrote.

Stunning: Rihanna said of Wintour, 'Anna just wants to know what the people want to know!' One fan wrote on Twitter, "Knowing the year Rihanna was having, knowing that you work for Vogue and had the potential to be assigned the piece more delicacy could've been paid here to ensure that the piece harolded her instead of being about how inconvenienced you were by her". 'I'm winging it, so you have to help me, ' I say nervously. "She's badass for that".

Entertainment journalist Sylvia Obell was one of the main voices in the conversation, tweeting her frustration over the idea that a journalist would ever publicly revel in the idea of being unprepared, and also pointed out the fact that a Black journalist would never be able to live this down, let alone have the access to do so.
