With the on-screen fingerprint sensor, there are several other sensors in the phone i., e light sensor, proximity sensor as well as compass and gyroscope. That means we find a good Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G, along with up to 8GB of RAM and a maximum of 256GB of internal storage. Oppo also added a heat dissipation pipe for optimal cooling during intensive tasks like gaming.

The smartphone's biggest highlight is its charging technology. Ten minutes of charge will sufficient to run the phone for next one hour. By charging it only for 5 minutes, the battery can gain 27 percent power. The GaN charger is also quite compact and supports USB-PD and Qualcomms Quick Charge standard. It comprises of a Sony IMX586 48-megapixel main lens with f/1.8 aperture, a 13-megapixel telephoto lens with support for 5x hybrid zoom, an ultrawide lens of 8-megapixel and a macro lens of 2-megapixel.

It wasn't a far-off prospect either, as the company then announced that its upcoming Oppo Reno Ace would be the first phone with the technology.

Oppo Reno Ace comes equipped with a 4,000mAh battery, which may seem measly when compared to the beastly specs we have seen above, but this is company's first phone to arrive with the new 65W SuperVOOC charging technology. There is Game Boost 2.0, Frame Boost 2.0 and Touch Boost 2.0 for optimizing the phone's performance. Other notable features include a 3.5mm headphone jack, NFC and dual-frequency Global Positioning System. Oppo Reno Ace will also be available in a "Gundam Edition" variant, which only has limited numbers to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of this popular manga series.

There's still no word on the pricing and availability of the Oppo Reno Ace Gundam edition. OPPO has also passed the Rhine security certification, ensuring the phone's temperature will not exceed 39 degrees, while charging.

In terms of price, the OPPO K5 in its 6GB+128GB version is priced at 1899 yuan ($260); the 8GB+128GB version will cost 2099 yuan ($290), while the 8GB+256GB variant will be up for 2499 yuan ($350). The smartphone is available in three colors: fantasy forest, cyber metal and polar sunlight; and it does feature NFC.

The Chinese manufacturer is also selling Unicorn Gundam C1 gamepad that can be attached to the special edition Reno Ace. Its pre-sales will take place on October 10 and its sales will also begin on November 11.
