Solskjaer pleaded for patience after defeat at the weekend, with league leaders Liverpool their next match after the global break, live on Sky Sports Premier League.

Man United's 1-0 defeat at the hands of Newcastle United over the weekend left the club hovering two points above the relegation zone after nine Premier League fixtures.

The Spain goalkeeper called it the most hard period of his Old Trafford career and team-mate Tuanzebe underlined the need for introspection and a response, with a match against rivals and eight-point league leaders Liverpool looming large.

"You can see we shut [Newcastle] out for a long period of time", Tuanzebe added.

And according to the BBC, a heavy defeat to Liverpool would create so much external pressure - from us, basically - to the extent that the club would be unable to avoid sacking Solskjaer.

"Players tend not to get as fit as quick as they would do when things are going well, that's an absolute fact".

"We go back to the drawing board".

The same article states that the 20-time English champions made a last-ditch offer for the Croatia global in the summer but Manchester United were unable to get a deal over the line.

Now it's just that tough phase. [We] definitely want to get a result in that game.

United's next Premier League match is against reigning European champions Liverpool on 20 October. It wasn't a tippy-tappy game, no matter what age group.

An array of first-team resources are tipped to return from their respective injuries within a couple of weeks and Tuanzebe, having impressed with his versatility and ability to feature across the defence, is optimistic and confident in spite of the ongoing conundrum.
