It wasn't long after the Porsche Panamera debuted at the 2009 Shanghai auto show that pearl-clutching Porsche diehards spit through clenched teeth that the automaker had no business building five-door, executive-level hatchbacks. Ten years later and 250,000 examples on the road, the Panamera still doesn't have time for doubters.

The 10 Years Edition is only available for two of the Panamera models in the range, namely the Panamera 4 and Panamera 4 E-Hybrid, and their corresponding Sport Turismo derivatives.

Porsche has just launched a commemorative version of the Panamera dubbed the 10 Year Edition. Today, when more than 250,000 Panameras have been sold, the whole lineage has earned the right to strong praise, with earlier versions offering fantastic used value for money and the latest five-door providing an nearly unrivalled mix of pace and practicality.

On the outside, the two main elements giving the vehicle away are the 21-inch Panamera Sport Design wheels in satin-gloss White Gold Metallic and the "Panamera10" logo on the front doors, in the same color. Black partial leather upholstery is accented with the same white gold color. There are decorative kickplates and logo pieces inside to mark the occasion as well. Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), a full air suspension, and speed-sensitive Power Steering Plus join the list of standard features.

In terms of equipment, the special edition Panamera comes with LED Matrix headlights, a panoramic roof system, heated 14-way seats, soft close doors, digital radio, and a Bose surround sound system.

Those who purchased the Panamera 4 E-Hybrid 10 Year Edition variant will receive the optional 7.2 kW on-board charger as standard rather than the lesser 3.6 kW onboard charger usually included as standard equipment.
