As you would expect and hope, the questions that Zach Galifianakis asks are wildly stupid and inappropriate (making you wonder how any of the material was actually captured without anyone breaking), and even the classic repeat jokes that have been employed for over a decade - such as never being able to pronounce anyone's names - still manage to earn a chuckle.

Cooper does not feature in the movie, but still, after the trailer aired earlier this month, Galifianakis thought it best to speak to his Hangover co-star.

He told Variety: "There's something in the trailer and he's not even in the movie, but I refer to him as a "hot idiot".

"I called him when I saw the trailer.I was like, 'I called you a 'hot idiot'". I don't want to hurt people, but I do want to make them feel weird. The movie's conceit is hit-miss, but when it works - yielding deadpan insults and pained expressions - there are enough laughs to make digging up "Ferns" look like a fine idea.

But Zach, one of the most well-liked and respected Hollywood personalities, can call on any number of his celeb counterparts to vouch for his genius as an interviewer. "Once we got some guests, people switched their schedules, storylines changed because we were writing on the fly and that's a tricky thing to do.In the end, it was so much fun to do".

Celebrity cameos include Matthew McConaughey, Will Ferrell, Peter Dinklage, Benedict Cumberbatch, Paul Rudd, Tiffany Haddish, Brie Larson, Keanu Reeves, Jon Hamm, David Letterman, Jason Schwartzman, Adam Scott, John Cho, Chance the Rapper, Rashida Jones, Hailee Steinfeld, John Legend, Chrissy Teigen, and Tessa Thompson.

The series drew in large viewership for the comedy channel through some of the interviews, with the episodes featuring guests President Barack Obama receiving rave reviews from critics and audiences alike while his 2016 sit down with then-Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton drew in more than 30 million views in 24 hours, setting the record for the highest viewership for the site.

It lands on Netflix tomorrow.
