Well, other than a lot of acclamations and a huge fan following, Ranu Mondal also bagged the golden opportunity of recording a song named "Teri Meri Kahani" for Himesh Reshammiya's upcoming film, Happy, Hardy and Heer.

Talking about the response the songs have been getting, Himesh earlier said, "I'm very happy with all the love that Happy Hardy and Heer is getting from the audience, I'm very proud of the product and very confident that the film will set new trends by the grace of god".

Ranu Mondal is the latest internet sensation who once sang Lata Mangesjkar's song Ek Pyaar Ka Nagma Hai at the Ranaghat railway station in West Bengal.

It was only Himesh Reshammiya's reality show - Superstar Kids- that Ranu made a special appearance post her video had gone viral. I was initially inspired by Lata Mangeshkar ji's voice and used to sing as a child. The way people are sharing the track and are showering their love over Ranu's song is unbelievable. Speaking more about it, the music composer had said, "When I met Ranu Ji, I realised she is blessed with divinity". Ranu, 59, says that she always had "faith in her voice and never lost hope" that one day she will get a change to perform on stage. Even in the future I'll continue to sing. On the show, Himesh Reshammiya not only welcomed her with all due respect, but also signed her to sing a couple of songs for his movie.

"When I used to sing, I didn't realise (this day would come), but I had faith in my voice". I never lost hope. "I used to listen to them on cassettes and learn continuously", she said.

Mondal said the distance between the stage and her could never end her bond with music. "I never stopped listening to songs".
