Apple has already dubbed its new chip as the fastest processor in a smartphone and the iPhone 11 puts all that power to use. At launch, Apple says it will include unlimited access to more than 100 games on iPhone or iPad or Mac, with new games added every month.

But that's not it. But perhaps the most significant change in iOS 13 is the introduction of iPadOS, a new, tablet-specific version of the operating system that offers improved multitasking capabilities and other features for power users-all meant to make the iPad more viable as a laptop replacement. The service will have a monthly subscription cost of US$4.99 (with "no additional purchases"), and it will have a one-month free trial.

Betting the future success of its flagship product on the younger generation's obsession with taking photos and videos of themselves, the company has even tried to create a new term - "slofies" - standing for "slow-motion selfies" made possible by extending a slow-mo feature to its front-facing camera.

Battery life was one of the best features on the iPhone XR, so Apple's keeping that going with one hour more battery life than the iPhone XR.

As expected, Apple also unveiled its new iPhone 11, which will start at $699, and the iPhone 11 Pro and Pro Max, starting at $999 and $1,099, respectively. It's a step up from the current iPad, but well below the iPad Pro in performance and price: it starts at $329 and will be available at the end of September.

The company also revealed fresh details concerning a number of its core products, including an updated Apple Watch and an improved iPad.

Audiences worldwide can enjoy Apple TV+ originals subtitled and/or dubbed in almost 40 languages, including Subtitles for the Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing (SDH) or closed captions. While Apple Oman has not given an exact price yet, Apple's region map claims that the iPhone 11 will be available in Oman on 27 September. Apple TV+ series and movies will also be available with audio descriptions in eight languages.

A "must-have" Apple Pencil integrated to work with the iPad touch screen can be used as a controller for creation or productivity. It poses a direct challenge to Walt Disney Co., which plans to launch its own streaming service in Canada in November for $8.99 a month. This explains why Apple was so upbeat about it's new services like Arcade and Apple TV+ and even talked about it ahead of the iPhones. Apple provided a peek in March, but hasn't specified when it will debut this fall or how much it will cost.

The new Apple Watch Series 5 (starting at $399) maintains the look of the Series 4 released past year, but adds a new always-on display, as well as a few new health-oriented features, along with the ability to make worldwide emergency calls and orient yourself using the integrated compass feature.
