On Tuesday, the Jurassic World director took to Twitter to announce Battle at Big Rock, a live-action short film that takes place in the Jurassic World universe. You can check out the full poster now for the project in the gallery below!

Trevorrow included an image of the poster, along with a quote from Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom character Dr. Ian Malcolm (Jeff Goldblum): "These creatures were here before us". The story follows a family of four whose encounter with these wild animals becomes a terrifying fight for survival.

Battle at Big Rock was reportedly written by Emily Carmichael (Pacific Rim: Uprising), features cinematography by Larry Fong (Kong: Skull Island), and a score from Amie Doherty (Legion).

I can't think of another time that a major film franchise has ever aired a short film on TV like this.

Trevorrow most recently served as a co-writer on the upcoming Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker film, which will be released on December 20. I don't know the ins and outs of that deal, but the original Jurassic World is already scheduled to air at 7:20pm ET/PT this Sunday night on FX, so Battle at Big Rock will nearly certainly be attached to that.

For even more on the project, keep your eyes peeled to Collider tomorrow.
