The Red Devils will be looking to return to winning ways at St Mary's on Saturday following a 2-1 loss to Crystal Palace last time out.

The 24-year-old is now facing a spell on the sidelines as he's been ruled out of tomorrow's trip to Southampton and Solskjaer expects the defender to be out for a "week or two" following the upcoming global break so he'll also be a doubt for United's games against Leicester and West Ham next month.

Manchester United's performance levels have dropped rapidly since the highs of the 4-0 win over Chelsea in the first game of the season.

Solskjaer will now have to regroup his troops in a mission to cart away all the three points at St. Mary's.

Luke Shaw has been ruled out for over a month due to an injury and will not feature.

A number of Premier League clubs, including Manchester United, are considering increasing solidarity payments to their lower league counterparts in the wake of Bury's expulsion.

As such, Ashley Young could be drawn in to replace the Englishman in the left-back position alongside Aaron Wan-Bissaka on the right against the Saints.

Predicted Man Utd line up against Southampton without injured to Martial and Shaw.

Paul Pogba and Scott McTominay are set to start in midfield, but there are question marks over Jesse Lingard's place in the Manchester United lineup, with fans and pundits criticising his recent form.

Luke Shaw and Anthony Martial suffered injuries last weekend and will miss Manchester United's Premier League clash with Southampton.

It would leave manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer with only Marcus Rashford and 17-year-old Mason Greenwood as his recognised centre-forward options for the game on England's south coast.
