Akshay Kumar hosted a special screening of his latest release ' Mission Mangal' at a school in Mumbai. The movie also stars Mrunal Thakur, Nora Fatehi, Ravi Kishan, Rajesh Sharma, Sonam Arora, Manish Chaudhari, Faisan Khan, Alok Pandey, Chirag Katrecha among many others.

A film that has been the talk of the town from quite some time now is R Balki's Mission Mangal.

Even Atul Mohan, film trade analyst and Editor of Complete Cinema, a film trade magazine, is betting big on Mission Mangal. After scoring a good number on Thursday (Rs. 15.55 crores), there was always a risk that the drop may be a little steep on the second day (Friday) due to it being a regular working day and also massive competition from Mission Mangal which had collected nearly double on the first day.

The John Abraham starrer is expected to collect an opening box office collection of Rs 14-15 crore.

It is expected that the film will take its advance booking numbers to Rs 15 crore, higher than Akshay's last venture Gold, which was another Independence Day-release.

"Slowly & steady Batla House booking is catching up fast". "Mission Mangal" is based on the Mars Orbiter Mission (MOM), also called Mangalyaan, carried out by a team of scientists at the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO).

Therefore, experts believe that it will be an open field for Mission Mangal. In the video, Akshay can be seen holding Vidya's hand and skipping happily after seeing the overwhelming audience response to their film.
