Besiktas, Celtic and Rennes in the race to sign Bolasie

CELTIC have today been linked with Everton outcast Yannick Bolasie as the player looks for a way out of the club.

The 30-year old forward spent last season on loan with both Aston Villa and Anderlecht, and isn't expected to earn his spot back in Marco Silva's squad on Merseyside, with the DR Congo worldwide far down the pecking order.

Bolasie rejected a move to Russian Federation in the summer after CSKA Moscow made an loan-to-buy offer, but reportedly has offers from France and Turkey as well as the Scottish giants.

That deal was supposed to be a loan move with a $6m option to buy.

As well as the Hoops, Besiktas and Rennes are also believed to be chasing the former Crystal Palace man, who has already turned down the chance to leave Everton this month.

Neil Lennon has made no secret that he wants more reinforcements in attack and Bolasie can play either side of an attacking midfielder or upfront.

Any club looking to take Bolasie on this summer will likely need to match that fee, while they will have to negotiate with Bolasie about reducing his £80,000-a-week salary.

While Bolasie has never complained or kicked off, he simply isn't up to the required standard anymore, and subsequently he needs to make way, having found himself far down the pecking order on Merseyside.
