Prime Minister Narendra Modi is all set to appear on the popular show, "Man vs Wild" at 9 pm on August 12. "I am so excited to spend time with the Prime Minister and to get to know the man who leads this great nation".

#WATCH Bear Grylls in Wales (UK): PM (Modi) is vegetarian, so there was going to be no eating of grubs or anything.

"In the wild, you can survive very well off berries, roots, plants and certainly, PM spent his younger years in the wild, so he was very comfortable with that", he said.

Prior to Modi, Bear who is a BAFTA award victor and author of 85 books, had also hosted prominent celebrities in the past such as the then sitting American President Barack Obama, Kate Winslet, Roger Federer, Julia Roberts and many more. "We ended up very cold and very wet but shared some attractive Indian tea together in the end; that was a very special moment for me".

India needs funds for its infrastructure and borrowing overseas makes lot of investment economically viable, Modi said in an interview to The Economic Times newspaper.

The PM had said regarding the association, "I was both intrigued and inclined to take part in the show". The show was broadcast on Discovery Channel and saw PM in Uttarakhand's famous Jim Corbett National Park. "This apart, what shone bright for me was his humility", Bear said. PM Modi will be seen revealing some interesting anecdotes like encounters with wildlife during his childhood and will throw light on important issues like the need to preserve the nature. "I take this as an opportunity to showcase India's rich flora and fauna and to emphasize on environmental conservation".
