Scott Brown says everyone at Celtic is "delighted" for Kieran Tierney after he moved to Arsenal, describing his transfer as a "fairy-tale".

The left-back wrote an emotional message on social media admitting he was "heartbroken" that his relationship with some Celtic fans would never fix.

The Celtic captain said: "All the lads are delighted for him".

It's a sideways move if it happens, to me, and I can imagine Forrest will be hopefully staying put and looking to keep his stay at the club going.

Since then, the player has been on a bit of a whirlwind down in London but after meeting all obligations with his new club he was allowed to come back up the road to sort himself out as he prepares to make the full time switch to England.

Celtic continue life without Tierney on Tuesday when the players take on Cluj for a place in the Champions League Play-off.

"But we all wish him the best, he has been a fantastic servant to the club". They can come back as well, that's what this club is all about, he said.

"For me personally, it should be a fairy-tale story".

According to the Scottish Sun, Russian side Zenit Saint Petersburg are readying a £12m bid for the player and also want to pay him handsomely too.

The Celtic boss last week cautioned that they would not spend "silly money" but he refused to rule out spending the bulk of Tierney's fee on three or four players.
