LG G8X Image Renders Spotted Online before the Official IFA 2019 Launch

The LG G8X is expected to be a successor to the LG G8 ThinQ that launched earlier this year, which means it will be a flagship-grade phone. The screen on the device is of 6.2-inches that comes with thin bezels on sides and it is said to be measuring 159.3 mm x 75.8 mm x 8.5 mm.

The first difference is that there's no visible fingerprint scanner here, and with there seemingly not being enough space in the notch for a decent facial recognition system, it's likely that the LG G8X has an in-screen fingerprint scanner. This handset will be coming with dual rear cameras like its siblings LG G8 ThinQ and LG G8S ThinQ which are placed horizontally on the back.

The back of the phone isn't very different compared to its predecessor.

The LG G8X will feature a tiny dewdrop notch at the top of its display, and a "chin" below the display. However, there is no information about the size of the camera sensors.

The presence of the waterdrop notch means there's no room for 3D face unlock, neither is there a fingerprint scanner at the back of the phone.

Instead of increasing complexity and prices with a folding display design, LG provided us with the choice to double the screen real estate of the V50 by adding a second display when you need it.

The renders show volume rockers on the left side of the phone as well as the dedicated key which LG uses for triggering the Google Assistant.

While the top end of the device sports a SIM card tray and an earpiece, its bottom part includes- a loudspeaker grille, a USB-C port, and a 3.5mm audio jack.

Smartphones from the stables of United States tech giant Apple and China's Huawei are also expected to hit shelves in the coming months.
