Following 4/20 and 7/10 on the calendar, the next industry holiday is a newcomer: National CBD Day, celebrated on august 8 to recognize the cannabinoid that has experienced explosive growth in popularity since the 2018 Farm Bill federally legalized hemp. Brighter Day Natural Foods is another good bet, offering a specially curated selection of CBD products that includes tinctures and teas. CBD can be derived from either hemp or the marijuana plant. From the purified extract the company managed to produce CBD powder that contains 3.5% CBD, 3.5% CBDA and THC levels below 0.02%.

"The most likely reason, at this point in time, is that there has not been enough experience and study", McGeorge said. "Keep in mind that CBD, although it has been (around) for many, many decades, was under a research ban because of its association with the cannabis plant that was previously considered illegal".

CBD is said to have similar effects on humans. "There will be much more research and clinical experience needed to truly say that it is 'safe'".

Though young adults and people living in the West are the most likely to use CBD (20 and 21 percent, respectively), people from all demographics and regions are evidently partaking. A lot of them can provide various finished products of CBD hemp oil to customers directly.

On May 31, the FDA held its first-ever public hearing on CBD to receive public comment on the compound, although it has yet to release any official policy or guidance for the industry.

In fact, one in seven Americans (14 percent) report using some form of CBD, primarily for therapeutic purposes. If you're less anxious, then you sleep better.
