While "Tool news" isn't generally associated with IGN, the limited edition of Tool's highly-anticipated Fear Inoculum is a freakish and, ultimately really cool, mash up of technology and packaging.

Due to be released on August 30, Fear Inoculum will be just the fifth album in the group's 26-year history.

In addition to the song, Tool have also opened pre-orders for the record, which will be the band's first since 2006's 10,000 Days.

Tool: Fear Inoculum Tool are back with their long-awaited new studio album Fear Inoculum. The CD case will feature a 4-inch rechargeable HD screen that will show exclusive video footage, a charging cable, a 2-watt speaker-and-amp, a 36-page booklet, and a digital download card.

Metal fans, it's time to stretch out those head-banging necks - because Tool has returned with a 10-minute banger that is sure to give you whiplash. A vinyl release is supposedly forthcoming as well.

Fear Inoculum was produced by Tool, with engineering and mixing by Joe Barresi.

Continuing their affinity for pushing the boundaries of physical packaging, the GRAMMY Award® winning outfit has created a deluxe, limited-edition CD version of Fear Inoculum.
