The 33-year-old will provide Villa with valuable Premier League experience as they seek to make a major impact upon their return to the top flight.

Speaking to the club's website, Villa coach Dean Smith revealed that he was pleased to have completed the signing of Nakamba, who recently took part in the Africa Cup of Nations with Zimbabwe.

Smith, who took charge of the club previous year, is confident that Nakamba checks all the boxes for an Aston Villa number six and expressed his delight at having him on board.

Heaton, who started his career at Manchester United, made 200 appearances for the Clarets after moving to Turf Moor from Bristol City in 2013.

Heaton is due for a medical at Villa in the next 48 hours after an improved offer was accepted for the England global.

Aston Villa have signed Zimbabwe global midfielder Marvelous Nakamba for an undisclosed fee - their 12th signing of the summer.

An eletated Nakamba confirmed signing for Villa, a week after Belgium giants Club Brugge and Villa reportedly agreed on a £11 million transfer fee. "But it needed to happen with a lot of players have also left the club".

"He's very mobile, he's very good in possession and he will fit in with our style of play".

The 24-year-old Zimbabwe global has joined from Club Brugge for a fee of around £11million.

"I think the way the team plays suits my style, I like to attack and I can not wait to get started", said Danjuma.
