Vivo Z5 revealed in official promo images

The company on Monday sent out invites to confirm the launch of new smartphone series on August 7.

It was reported recently that Vivo Z5 is expected to launch in China on July 31.

However, the device was earlier spotted on TENNA, which revealed its specifications. As per the renders, the smartphone will come in Black with green acccents and gradient colors like Purple and White. The teaser image shared by the company also shows triple camera setup.

The front shows a waterdrop-style notch display which houses a selfie camera with a tall aspect ratio while the chin appears slightly thick.

These images reveal vivo is going all-in with implementing the Jovi assistant button on its devices, even if they are not flagships.

However, it's being speculated that the phone could be powered by the Snapdragon 712 SoC. It is expected to feature a 6.38-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with 2340 x 1080 pixels screen resolution. As for the rear cameras, the module will be placed in the top-left corner, with sensors aligned vertically. Under the hood, we can expect an Helio A22 SoC which will be coupled with 2GB / 3GB of RAM and could come with 32GB of storage which we should be knowing when the device gets launched.

Vivo Z5 runs Android 9 Pie operating system with Funtouch UI layer over it. For the front, it will have a front-facing camera of the 32MP sensor. It should also be coming with face unlocking feature and furthermore, it is rumored to be measuring 155.11 mm x 75.09 mm x 8.28 mm. The smartphone is expected to come with connectivity options including Bluetooth 5 and will be fuelled by a 4,420mAh battery, along with 22.5W fast charging support.
