Neymar reaffirmed his preference to leave Paris Saint-Germain during a short meeting with Leonardo.

The Brazil global has refused to return for pre-season training at the Parc des Princes such is his desire to make the move back to his old club.

According to reports in Spanish outlet AS, Barcelona are ready to offer Philippe Coutinho, Ousmane Dembele and €40 million in cash for Neymar.

The Spanish publication say Barca will also add £35million (€40m) into the deal, though any official talks between the two clubs have not yet begun.

It is thought that PSG would only entertain offers of at least the €222m which they paid for Neymar back in 2017, which is an impossible task for Barcelona, who recently spent €120m on Antoine Griezmann.

Neymar is eager for a Barcelona return and even ignited speculations when he said the Blaugrana's 6-1 champions league comeback was one of the best moments of his career.

Neymar signed a five-year deal in Paris worth £596,000 a week, and still has three years left to run.

PSG reportedly tried to convince Neymar to change his mind and the Brazil worldwide did not tell his club where he would like to move.

The players reportedly involved in the deal, Coutinho and Dembele, have each failed to fully settle in Catalonia following high profile moves from Liverpool and Borussia Dortmund respectively.

However, it is not any secret that the French champions don't want to do business with Barcelona and they prefer selling Neymar to Real Madrid. He then delivered the ball for Sergi Roberto to send Barca through, sparking wild celebrations.

Around 79 per cent of PSG fans responding to a France Football online poll asking if the sale of Neymar would be good business replied that they thought it would.
