Love Island viewers were left utterly astounded last night when the episode ended on an almighty twist no one expected; Maura Higgins is interested in "getting to know" Curtis Pritchard.

In a bid to save Amy from more heartbreak he decides they should go there separate ways.

In scenes due to air tonight, Amy will consider offering the professional dancer a second chance.

The pair were tested after Curtis confessed that while Amy was at Casa Amor, his head was turned by new girl Jourdan Raine.

In a shocking turn of events, just when we thought Amy and Curtis could work things out Curtis calls it quits.

"We will, of course, continue to monitor all of our Islanders in line with our robust protocols".

If we're deliberately being led astray by producers, we won't be happy.

"This means Islanders are always able to reach out and talk to someone if they feel the need".

A third wrote: "I know everyone is loving the drama but Amy's at her limit".

Amy is still left saddened by the recent re-coupling.

Later that evening, Amy decides it's time to confront Curtis and get answers.

Curtis continues to listen to Amy as she expresses how she feels.

Joanna says, "Absolutely. I felt for you".

"I didn't realise how much I missed you or how much I liked you until I saw you", Anna said. He's so honest, he literally can't lie and that's sometimes his downfall, sometimes I feel like, "Just say it this way, it'll come across maybe nicer than the way you've said it..." "Everything is on me".

Despite questioning whether she should take Michael, Amber decides to choose Ovie for a friend-date, which proves awkward for Jordan who will be hoping to crack on with Anna at the next table.

Lucie says, "I just feel stupid because at the start I don't know why I didn't choose you".

He said: "I've loved spending every minute with you. I am truly sorry".

Amy rightfully quizzed him on how he had gone from planning a future together to wanting to couple up with someone else in a matter of days.

She goes on, "I don't think you actually fancy me".

Curtis says: "You don't ever back yourself?" "You're a liar. You're a compulsive liar".

Amy was distraught when she first learned that Curtis had kissed Jourdan, and that he had considered coup-ling up with her, saying she was "someone's back-up plan yet again". "The actual audacity of some people", added one viewer.

According to The Mirror, the show insists that despite bosses stepping in to "whisk" her out of the villa, Hart is still very much a part of the competition.
