The Florida Panthers have signed goalie Sergei Bobrovsky the team announced Monday.

The Florida Panthers used four goalies this past season and were bound and determined not to get outbid for a new one.

It is a seven-year deal worth $10 million per season according to TSN Hockey Insider Pierre LeBrun.

The 30-year-old helped Columbus reach the postseason for the third year in a row in 2018-19 and was instrumental in the Jackets' first playoff series win in franchise history - a surprising sweep of the record-setting Tampa Bay Lightning.

After going undrafted, Bobrovsky started his National Hockey League career with the Philadelphia Flyers in 2010. Bobrovsky has two all-star appearances and two Vezina Trophy's. They have reportedly agreed to terms with other free agents, including defenseman Anton Stralman, 32, who could get $16.5 million over three years.
