Beau Ryan Will Host The Amazing Race Australia

In terrific news this morning, Channel 10 has announced that The Amazing Race Australia will be returning to our screens this year.

The series is being produced by Eureka Television and will air on Ten later this year.

A version previously screened in Australia on Seven.

Beau Ryan - TV's loosest unit - will host the show, as we travel to every corner of the world and watch contestants do whatever's necessary to be the first ones at the finish line.

Funnyman Beau will take over from actor and presenter Grant Bowler, who was the host of the popular program from 2011 to 2014 on Channel Seven.

On his new role, Ryan, said: "I'm really pumped to be hosting one of the biggest franchises on Australian TV".

'I'm a huge fan of The Amazing Race and now I get to host it, ' he said proudly to the publication.

He continued: 'I jumped at the chance to combine two of my favourite things: people and travel'. "May the best team win". It is a flawless blend of action, drama and captivating characters.

With the impending arrival of a new season of Australian Survivor comes today's news that Ten is also set to revive a local version of the only reality show that comes close (fight me), The Amazing Race.

The show is a competition between teams of two in a race around the world, with "the race" divided into a number of legs.

"We look forward to rounding out our 50-week schedule with an epic and fun adventure series".

"It's one of the truly original and iconic shows of all time and it's an honour and a privilege to be working with Network 10 in putting the Australian spin on such an incredible format", Eureka CEO Paul Franklin says.

That's right folks, The Amazing Race Australia is coming back.
