"During the filming of a controlled explosion on the set of Bond 25 today at Pinewood Studios, damage was caused to the exterior of the 007 Stage", a statement released on the official James Bond Twitter account read earlier this month.

In Bond 25, "Bond has left active service and is enjoying a tranquil life in Jamaica", according to the official description of the film.

Upon discovery of the concealed camera, police were notified and a 49-year-old man was arrested this past Friday in connection with the incident.

Bosses at Pinewood Studios, near London, called in cops last week after the device was found in an area where director Cary Fukunaga was shooting the new 007 blockbuster.

"We have reported the incident to the police and are supporting them with their investigation", she said. "The mission to rescue a kidnapped scientist turns out to be far more treacherous than expected, leading Bond onto the trail of a mysterious villain armed with risky new technology".

Charles, 70, met actor Daniel Craig, who plays the fictional British secret agent for the fifth time in the "Bond 25" production, plus Ralph Fiennes and Naomie Harris, who portray secret service head "M" and secretary Moneypenny respectively.

No-one working inside the studio was hurt, but one crew member outside suffered "a minor injury".
