Fury downs Schwarz in second round TKO

Apollo who?: Tyson Fury on his ring walk.

Because of that, "The Gypsy King" can not afford to take his next fight lightly because as it turns out, he's actually in a similar position to the one Joshua was in prior to his bout with Ruiz.

After dominating the first round with his jab, Fury switched to a southpaw stance late in the second round, and Schwarz caught him with a shot.

Keeping his hands low as usual, he was able to generate more strength when throwing combinations, and again showcased his defensive prowess.

The 25-year-old German has similarly not attempted to intimidate Fury ahead of the biggest fight of his life, but on the eve of nearing his lifelong ambition of fighting in Vegas, Fury questioned if he will be properly prepared.

"Never judge a book by its cover".

After his victory was announced, Fury immediately turned his attentions to his next outing. If he were to now lose, he'd also lose out on his rematch with Wilder.

Now while Tessitore has a high opinion of how Fury looks right now, he does believe that the former unified heavyweight champion was not at his best when he fought WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder this past December.

Fury and Wilder could not agree to an immediate rematch after Fury signed with copromoter Top Rank and muddied the political situation with Wilder, who moved on to stop Dominic Breazeale in the first round last month.

Speaking to Top Rank before he burst into song, Fury was humble in victory. When he got to the ring I saw he didn't want to be there.

"Second of all, thank you America and God bless you all".

With Tyson topping the bill tonight, and Tommy Fury on the ropes on Love Island, another member of the dynasty was in action tonight.

"It's very different, but it's what I was born to do", Fury said of his fights on the other side of the Atlantic.

"Against Wilder I was 17st 12lbs; today I'm 18st 12lbs". I hadn't had three years out the ring this time, I had a few months out of the ring. And now I'm back, the mack is back, the lineal champ is back.

"I had the opportunity to spend time with Tyson Fury two hours after he landed at JFK airport and came in NY". I want to aim for the stars and it's 36 minutes away.

After starring in London, Dublin, Dusseldorf, New York and Los Angeles, the Manchester native finally gets his Vegas debut against Germany's unbeaten Tom Schwarz at the MGM Grand Garden. I'll be the best in the world.
