A brand new Borderlands 3 trailer arrived during today's Microsoft Xbox E3 2019 presentation. Quietly behind the scenes, Gearbox Software revealed its own new trailer for one of the worst kept secrets regarding free DLC for Borderlands 2. Borderlands 3 will launch for PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One on September 13, 2019.

Anyone who owns Borderlands 2 in the Handsome Collection for Xbox One or PlayStation 4 can download the Commander Lilith & The Fight for Sanctuary DLC for free until 8th July, after which time the expansion will then cost $14.99/£11.99.

2K and Gearbox have officially announced that Borderlands 2: Commander Lilith & The Fight for Sanctuary is available now, bringing an all-new campaign expansion to the game that sets the stage for the upcoming Borderlands 3, with an adventure set on Pandora. Worse yet, a toxic cloud is slowly enveloping the planet of Pandora. There's even a new loot tier beyond Legendary. The trailer also showcases some of the stranger weapons players can come across including a rifle that shoots rainbow ponies.

It also introduces new super rare equipment, new enemies and bosses including "Infected" enemies, a new Raid boss, new areas to explore, and an additional head and skin customization option for each character. Returning players can pursue an increased level cap of 80, while newcomers can automatically boost to level 30 and dive straight into the action. Players can also challenge themselves to two new Overpowered Levels, which are accessible from a new location called Digistruct Peak.
