Larian Studios founder and director Swen Vincke recently spoke to Gamespot.

Sometime during the development of Original Sin 2, however, those sentiments changed and WotC were the ones contacting Vincke. Vincke replied: "F*** yeah!" It is Larian Studios' biggest production ever and will be playable together with friends or as a single-player adventure.

Larian Studios has also announced that the game will be coming on Steam and GOG. In the current era, the Divinity: Original Sin series has been lauded for its depth and relative accessibility, and that's been reflected heavily by its high critical reception. When asked what he believes Larian will bring to the Baldur's Gate franchise, Vincke had this in response.
