At this stage it is only available in the USA from June 6 for US$499.99.

Just to recap the specs sheet for interested readers, the Motorola Moto Z4 features a 6.4-inch OLED FullVision Display with a FullHD+ (2,340 x 1,080) resolution, Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 S0C, 4GB of RAM, and 128GB of storage with microSD card slot storage expansion. While the design aesthetic is familiar, the Moto Z4 actually shrinks the bezels compared to its Moto Z3 predecessor and adds a 19:9 OLED display with a small centrally-mounted teardrop notch.

To improve photography Motorola has added what it calls "Quad Pixel technology", which uses pixel-binning to allow for 48-megapixel shots with the rear lens, following a trend of other recent higher-end midrange phones including OnePlus' 7 Pro. On the front, it has a 25-megapixel snapper.

Motorola says both sensors should offer improved details and colors as well as better low-light performance. Of course, the camera also does "Night Vision" which is similar to the Pixel's "NightSight".

In some brief hands-on time with the phone, the phone feels more premium than the rival cheaper Pixel 3a, which starts at $399. The almost bezel-less display also ups the screen resolution to 1,080 x 2,340 while further widening the aspect ratio to 19:9, as opposed to its 1,080 x 2,160 pixel and 18:9 predecessor.

Motorola's Z4 has a fingerprint sensor built into its display. There is also IP67 water and dust resistance along for the ride, protecting your phone from drops, spills, and mild water splashes. On top of that, it's coming with a 3.5mm headphone jack, and since it's a Moto Z phone, it works with Moto Mods, just to be clear.

The Moto Z4 continues the Z-line tradition of supporting Moto Mods including a moto 360 camera capable of 4K 360 degree video with 3D audio.

What do you think of the new moto z4? As you saw the other day Amazon US have a Moto Z4 package that includes the moto 360 camera Moto Mod - hopefully that deal arrives here too.

The phone will be available in either "flash grey" or "frost white" from Verizon on June 13.

The company is, of course, pushing the new 5G moto mod for the Verizon network and marketing the moto z4 as an upgradeable 5G phone.

Since the phone is moddable with a physical 5G add-on, Verizon is offering a plan for the gigabit speeds as well.
