Now, according to the Taiwanese Game Software Rating website (via Eurogamer), we have evidence that the game could be getting a remaster.

The Taiwan Digital Game Rating Committee are at it again, after last week's mysterious revelation of a new Under Night In-Birth entry, the board has dropped a listing for an Xbox One release titled Ghostbusters The Video Game Remastered. The developer is listed as Mad Dog Games, which previously released World of Speed, NBA Playgrounds and Shaq Fu.

A lot of people will tell you the game was a bit of a wash: it was a licensed game of the 360 era - a genre not known for its quality.

The Ghostbusters: The Video Game title was a passable third-person-shooter-like experience that drew on classic Ghostbusters' characters and actors, as well as a number of story concepts that were pitched for Ghostbuster sequel movies that never got off the ground after the lacklustre second-film. But for Ghostbusters fans, with all the wisecracking from nearly all the movie's original cast and the ability to become one of the Ghostbusters in a video game for the then-current generation of video games was still pretty cool. It hasn't been officially announced, but the name matches the well-liked 2009 adaptation in which Aykroyd, Ramis, Hudson, and Murray resumed their roles. "It's the best Ghostbusters game of all time, though that really isn't saying much".
