Will he bring winter to King's Landing?

The episode will air at 8 p.m. on HBO.

That was dangerously close to a spoiler, and this is a spoiler-free story, so I'm going to stop asking ridiculous questions about what Rodgers' role might be this week.

Rodgers has long discussed being a big fan of the show, and at times he's hinted at having some insider knowledge.

Rodgers did hint at a possible cameo while he was at the Kentucky Derby.

Rodgers and his girlfriend Danica Patrick were spotted in Belfast, Ireland last summer - and as hardcore Thrones fans know, a number of GoT scenes were shot in northern Ireland.

Although Rodgers probably didn't have any say in what happens to his character, he does have a few preferences.

Super Bowl LII weekend in 2018: When he appeared as a guest on "The Dan Patrick Show" in Minneapolis, Patrick asked if he had been approached to be on "Game of Thrones".

For instance, Rodgers tweeted on April 21: "24 hour rule still applies folks, for all those who thought there were better things to do tonight than watch @GameOf Thrones #iwaswatching #4moreepisodes #episode5shouldbegood". Rodgers replied cryptically with "Episode five, Game of Thrones, effectively confirming the State Farm-sponsored sportsman will be appearin on the show".
