Notre Dame junior guard Jackie Young had 24 hours following their 82-81 loss to Baylor to make one of the biggest decisions of her life: Stay at Notre Dame for her senior season or forego it and declare early for the WNBA draft.

"I would like to thank the University of Notre Dame for providing me with three years of the very best experiences, opportunities and people of a lifetime", Young said.

Louisville senior guard and two-time ACC player of the year Asia Durr is now expected to go first overall. She had six assists and nine rebounds.

Young will be appealing to everyone from NY, where she can play alongside Kia Nurse in the backcourt, to Chicago, where she offers an intriguing change of pace from Allie Quigley, or even a potential small forward next to either Gabby Williams or Diamond DeShields on the wing, not to mention in, who will be without Victoria Vivians in 2019 due to injury.

She moved up some of the draft prediction boards after Sabrina Ionescu announced she will stay at OR for her final season.

"I think when you play at a high level, you get on TV a lot more".

Those who greeted the Irish said they are extremely proud of head coach Muffet McGraw. "[Scouts aren't] just catching one game in the tournament". She chose to return for her senior season.

Young struggled Sunday, shooting 1-of-8 from the field and finishing with four points.

Young posted her announcement on both Instagram and Twitter.

The WNBA Draft will take place on Wednesday, April 10 at 7:00 pm and can be seen on ESPN2.
