Gamers with grimy hands will want to steer way clear of Microsoft's new Phantom White Xbox wireless controller-it's the sort of thing that will highlight Cheetos residue in ways that darker controllers may not. And now, the same controller is coming in a white finish.

The new Phantom Controller is showcased in neutral colors, which fade away to reveal the hardware inside.

The Phantom White Special Edition controller is the second in Xbox's Phantom series.

This special edition controller blends "luxury and Sci-Fi", according to Microsoft, emphasizing the hidden technology with a shell that fades to transparency. At the top, the gadget boasts a high-tech translucent white hue with gold components underneath, transitioning to an opaque matte white below. The Wireless Display app offers a variety of latency options to best match the type of content that will be streamed from the PC to the Xbox One, with the lowest latency option being best for games, especially those that require precise, timely inputs. There's a 3.5mm audio headphone jack for directly connecting a wired headset, Bluetooth for wireless connectivity, and support for custom button mapping via the Xbox Accessories companion app.

The new pad launches at retailers around the world starting on April 2, priced at $70 United States dollars.
