Additionally, Ubisoft announced plans for scheduled maintenance periods during the beta, which will see The Division 2 festivities shut down for about three hours. During the beta, you will be able to get a first glimpse of what awaits you with Tom Clancy's The Division 2.

"The Division 2" Open Beta features even more content than the recent Private Beta.

Compared specifically to the Private Beta, it features one additional mission, a couple new Skills, a raised level cap and a new PvP arena.

The Division 2 season pass is in a bit of a special situation.

Ubisoft fully detailed what's included with the Year One Pass. With the Year 1 Pass, you'll enjoy early access to it all. Here's what it says in full: "Year 1 Pass grants 7-day early access to all Year 1 Episodes, instant access to all Year 1 Specializations as they release, 8 Classified Assignments: The fall of DC, along with exclusive cosmetics and additional in game activities". Different apparel items can be found in these loot boxes or can be bought on their own through premium currency.

As with so many games at the moment, the day of launch for The Division 2 is just the beginning. Finally, Ubisoft is adding two additional Settlement Projects. While playing The Division 2 will unlock cosmetic items organically, the Apparel Cache serves as a way to speed up that process. It's not like previous half-baked games as a service of late - not mentioning any names - that seemingly release with only half of the intended content at launch.

Tom Clancy's The Division 2 will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC.
