Before talking to teams, Morris wanted to see a specialist and make sure his neck was healthy.

The New Orleans Pelicans acquired Morris from the Washington Wizards at the deadline and then promptly waived him, so he's free to sign with anyone.

Morris, 29, has been cleared to play after recovering from a neck injury, having been sidelined since December 26 after he was diagnosed with transient cervical neurapraxia.

The Los Angeles Lakers and Houston Rockets are among the playoff teams who have reportedly shown interest in free agent small forward Markieff Morris, according to Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports.

Morris has been out since December 28 due to a neck injury, but he's been given clearance to play after visiting with a specialist in Los Angeles on Monday. But, he received a second opinion this week and was cleared to return to the court, according to the report.

Morris averaged 11.5 points and 5.1 rebounds in 26 minutes per game for the Wizards this season.

Morris has been out since December 26 with a neck injury.
