Golden Globes: Idris Elba and Daniel Craig tease next James Bond

The cheeky picture has reignited rumours that Elba is set to take over from Craig as James Bond, despite ruling it out himself.

In a 2017 charity video, he pulled a face when a child admitted to having a crush on James Bond, and in August his "My name's Elba".

And despite the actor himself claiming that he wouldn't be the next Bond, he's done a great job of stirring the pot over the last 18 months, hinting on several occasions that he would in fact be interested.

The Luther actor has been at the centre of reports for several years that he is among the stars most likely to succeed Craig.

On Thursday, while attending the Golden Globes' Ambassador luncheon in Beverly Hills, Isan brought awareness to mental illness in the African American community during the panel discussion. Adding that she is "very excited" for the night.

Elba posted the picture on Twitter with nothing more than the caption: "Er". Elba has repeatedly denied he's in any kind of negotiations with producers.

In an video shared to his Instagram account, the proud dad said: "The Golden Globes tonight are unbelievably special". "You'll see me on stage holding the trophies, and I get to see cool celebrities; it's a big deal".

"Now? I'd rather break this glass and slash my wrists", Craig said in 2015 of starring in a fifth Bond film. "I just want to go out on a high note and I can't wait".
