State Championship Game Ends On Miracle Play

The Texas 6A state championship game was won by North Shore High School on a stunning Hail Mary that you just have to see. With no time left on the clock Saturday night, North Shore pulled together a jaw dropping play in front of 50,0000 fans at the Cowboy's stadium. Quarterback Demetrius Davis took the snap out of the shotgun, stepped up and heaved the most important pass of his high school career toward the end zone.

Somehow, wide receiver AJ Carter jumped up and hauled in the pass between three different Duncanville defenders, making the catch to give North Shore the improbable 41-36 win.

I'd say words don't do the play justice, but commentator Chase Snyder proved that isn't the case. North Shore's sophomore Dematrius Davis jr. launched a 78-yard touchdown to sophomore Dematrius Davis the first quarter.

To call North Shore's season a success is perhaps a bit of an understatement as they have now earned a ideal 16-0 record.
