Miley Cyrus gives Christmas classic ‘Santa Baby’ a feminist twist

Miley Cyrus appeared on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" on Thursday and gave an updated feminist spin to the Christmas class "Santa Baby". Things got even more awkward when he and Mark came out with the keys to that light blue '54 convertible Eartha wanted and Miley instead sang, "Santa baby, I've got a baller auto of my own, no loans / I bought it all by myself, Santa baby, With zero help from Elf on the Shelf". "Am I saying I'm gonna hook up with Santa if he buys me all this stuff?" Nothing that comes in a box. No more fluff, I've had enough.

"Listen Santa to what I say, a girl's best friend is. equal pay", she sang.

The pop star went on to affirm that she "can buy my own damn stuff", and has a "baller auto of my own" that she bought on her own.

Instead of singing the song as is, Cyrus takes a wrecking ball to the original lyrics and substitutes some new lyrics boasting a decidedly feminist perspective.

She went on to sing that she bought a vehicle "all by myself, Santa baby, with zero help from Elf on the Shelf".

"Santa baby, I don't need any fancy jewelry".

During her performance, Fallon, 44, and Ronson, 43, reappeared on stage with fancy jewelry and a set of designer auto keys in hand - all of which were rejected by the pop star.

"Do you even know what that is?" she asked the talk show host. "It's a fur and I'm vegan".

As we've already learned with the outcry over "Baby, It's Cold Outside", some Christmas songs may not be aging as well as others.

She has also released a version of John Lennon and Yoko Ono's Happy Christmas War is Over, recorded with their son Sean Ono Lennon and Mark Ronson.
