Dallas Woman Dies After Botched Nose Job Surgery In Mexico

"My heart aches, and I truly don't know how or if I'll ever overcome this pain", Angie Avila said in the post, noting that her sister Laura Avila died shortly after 8 a.m.

Avila was in Mexico with her fiancé, Enrique Cruz, who said he waited eight hours at the clinic before learning there was a problem, according to CBS.

Avila's family attorney told TMZ that her death "is not in vain", cautioning others against traveling south of the border for discounted cosmetic surgeries.

Her family later learned that she had suffered complications from the injection of anesthesia.

According to ABC News, investigators are looking into whether medical negligence played a role in what happened to Laura Avila.

A woman who went to Mexico to receive cosmetic surgeries, but fell into a coma due to complications with anesthesia, passed away Saturday, according to her family.

On Saturday, her sister, Angie Avila, said her sister died at 8:30 Saturday morning after being in a coma for almost a month.

It was not immediately clear whether Avila was taken off of life support before she died. "Laura is peacefully resting and her fate is in the hands of God".

"I know she will continue to watch over me and guide me just as she always has", she wrote on Facebook.
