But when Warner Bros. announced a younger Minerva would play in the upcoming Potter universe film, Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, Potterheads were none too pleased.

The cast list for the second film, The Crimes of Grindelwald, was recently released and it included someone rather unexpected: Professor McGonagall.

The film is produced by David Heyman, J.K. Rowling, Steve Kloves and Lionel Wigram.

So grab your wand, your trusty case and a Niffler (if you've got one handy), because it's time to get ready for Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes Of Grindelwald. Multiple entries from a single person will disqualify all entries from that person.

And Eddie Redmayne seemed to be in great spirits as he joined his Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes Of Grindelwald co-stars on SiriusXM's Entertainment Weekly radio show in NY on Monday.

Check out the latest Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald trailer below.

Eddie is gearing up to reprise his role as Newt Scamander, a Magizoologist who is enlisted by Albus Dumbledore (Jude Law) to help him capture the villainous Gellert Grindelwald (Johnny Depp). But, making good on his threat, Grindelwald escaped custody and has set about gathering followers, most unsuspecting of his true agenda: to raise pure-blood wizards up to rule over all non-magical beings.

Newt Scamander now enlists by his former professor Albus Dumbledore (Jude Law) to help him thwart Grindelwald's plans, unaware of what dangers lay ahead in the journey. Lines are drawn as love and loyalty are tested, even among the truest friends and family, in an increasingly divided wizarding world.
