Inspired by "Brexit" - always a good idea to choose an unmitigated disaster for a namesake - the idea is to try to sway black voters to Trump: a "Black Exit" from the Democratic Party.

Though his physical presence was not registered, he was "there in spirit", observed TPUSA's Communications Director, Candace Owens. One such figure, however, was not in attendance: Kanye West.

Owens added that West - who visited with President Donald Trump in the Oval Office earlier this month - has "taken one of the boldest steps in America to open a conversation we needed to have". Candace and the rest of the crew are planning to criss-cross the United States, holding Blexit rallies in all major cities.

The shirts were revealed Saturday at Turning Point USA's Young Black Leadership Summit, a meeting of young, black conservatives in Washington.

The shirts come in a variety of styles and colors and run between $25 and $28. The clothing line, which heavily features the phrases "Blexit" and "We Free", is part of the broader launch of Blexit.com, a new campaign claiming to be a "renaissance" and a "formal declaration of independence" for black Americans. She went on to comment on the role that Kanye has played in bringing the movement to the forefront.

"West wrote, "'Be anxious about nothing, but in everything, by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God.' - Philippians 4:6-7".
