Just moments after the team named Ibrahimovic their idol, the LA Galaxy star made his entrance, putting a smile on their faces and leaving them speechless.

Ellen asked the team, who entered the cave on June 23, if they remembered anything from the risky rescue mission.

"They weren't scared and they always had hope", Ake said via the translator.

When events turned calamitous, they went into defensive mode. The talk show host, who loves a good surprise, also gave them one - a visit from their "idol".

The rescued Thai soccer team is speaking out.

The team explained how they were trapped inside without food because they'd left their belongings outside and only took mobile phones and torches with them.

These days, they are all "healthy" and doing "fine".

The Wild Boars explained that they didn't remember much at all from their rescue because it was so dark and they were all sedated. "They knew that if they didn't come out, eventually someone would have to come in and get them out".

Now that they are free, the boys all have the same goal. Their plans for the future are to get good educations, which will lead to good jobs, but they also continue playing soccer to provide for their families.

Ibrahimovic gifted the team jerseys and other L.A. Galaxy merchandise.

"This is probably the best team in the world".

Ibrahimovic high-fived every single player, gave each of them a shirt with his name on the back and then invited the courageous youngsters to attend a special training session with the rest of his Galaxy teammates. Ellen also gave the Wild Boards VIP tickets to a LAFC game to watch Ibrahimovic in action.

A daring operation was launched to reach the boys when they became stranded with their coach more than two miles deep inside the Tham Luang cave network on June 23.

During the appearance, the team recalled their harrowing experience being trapped in a flooded Thai cave for 18 days.
