After releasing its first 2 seasons in 2017 and 2018, Marvel and Netflix have officially canceled "Marvel's Iron Fist". "Everyone at Marvel Television and Netflix is proud of the series and grateful for all of the hard work from our incredible cast, crew and showrunners", read the company's joint statement with Marvel Television. "While the series on Netflix has ended, the immortal 'Iron Fist' will live on". While reviews of Iron Fist Season 1 were unfavourable, the ten-episode second season released just over a month ago at the start of September fared slightly better with fans and critics. It is the first of the Marvel Netflix series to get an official cancellation, and brings in to question how the Netflix portion of the Marvel Cinematic Universe will continue. Casting controversies aside, though, Iron Fist had a number of other issues and unfortunately, not a whole lot of them were fixed for its sophomore season.

As mentioned before, it was made clear that Danny Rand and his cohorts could return at some point in the future.

The series starred Finn Jones in the titular role, alongside Jessica Henwick, Jessica Stroup, Tom Pelphrey, Sacha Dhawan, David Wenham, Alice Eve, and more.

We already know that Disney is ceasing their partnership with Netflix in an effort to eventually move all of their entities over to their new streaming platform, so we wouldn't be surprised there's truth to the theories.

"Speak to our friends at Netflix", Loeb said. Should Iron Fist and Luke Cage join forces in a new show?

Representatives for Netflix and Marvel thanked the fans for tuning in to the series' two season run. It always felt like Iron Fist, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Daredevil were kind of a package deal.
