It won't arrive in the UK, Germany or India until 14 November, however.

Amazon's Alexa Voice Remote has a few neat new tricks, too.

The new Alexa Voice Remote will ship from 31 October, and Amazon said it will include it with the Fire TV Cube going forward.

Add to all of that Alexa integration either via Amazon's new-and-improved Amazon Alexa Voice Remote or Echo device - and an unbelievable low sticker price of $49 (around £39, AU$68) - and you have a potentially strong contender for king of the streaming stick wars when Fire TV Stick 4K becomes available on October 31 in the United States and Canada and November 14 in the UK, Germany and India.

Saying "find 4K movies" into the Alexa-powered remote should bring up "thousands" of Ultra HD titles.

"The 'Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K' is a complete 4K solution our customers are looking for, all within a compact stick form factor".

The new Fire TV Stick 4K features a 1.7GHz quad-core processor which is said to offer faster content streaming. In addition to hands-free controls of your binge-watching sessions, the latest remote comes with dedicated power, volume and mute buttons for compatible TVs, soundbars, and A/V receivers. If you have only one Fire TV, your Echo device will pair as soon as you ask Alexa a question that includes Fire TV.

The TV Alexa voice control experience can also be accessed via an Echo device. It will be available for pre-order starting today, 3 October for $50 in the USA, £50 in the UK.

The same Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K is priced at $50 in the United States, but it's priced a tad higher in India though. However, Amazon has been making its entire Prime Video content available in 4K, giving an option on why users should purchase the Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K in India. It's available here, it's cheaper than Roku's stick, and it supports both HDR 10+ and Dolby Vision - the first device to do so without ditching the stick-shape.
