Microsoft has built a limited-edition greaseproof controller to celebrate the launch of PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds - but there's a slight catch.

With the Xbox One version of PUBG out there, it's more important than ever for the game to be fixed and balanced so that players can enjoy the title like they did during its Early Access phase on Steam.

PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds finally had its official release on Xbox One after almost a year in Xbox Game Preview.

"Survive the ultimate life and death fight with the Xbox Wireless Controller - PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS Limited Edition, featuring a distressed black digital camo design". The map, which is smaller than Erangel and Miramar to promote a faster pace, is accompanied by new weapons and vehicles for players to try out.

PUBG is now available in its full release version on both PC and Xbox One. As CNET notes, this refers to polyurethane, which is used in plastics and sealants, not the urethane that's used as an animal aesthetic, thankfully. In addition, while it will be able to withstand drops of water, it is still not a good idea to submerge the Greaseproof 1.0 controller. The $10 Premium Pass (or 1,000 in-amusement G-Coins) gives more chances to catch cool gear and in the event that you get it late, you'll retroactively get the bonus loot for levels you've hit.

In brief: Do you find that your Xbox One controller gets greasy and slimy when playing games while choking down a bucket of fried chicken? Only 200 controllers will be made worldwide, each showcasing what number it is when it came out of the factory.
