Steven Gerrard: 'Rangers close to Eros Grezda signing'

We are 90 minutes away from bringing European football back and it's what we are giving all our focus to at the moment - me, my staff and the players.

The league has been tough for Rangers given what they have gone through.

"We also feel the three in midfield, or they might even play a box in midfield, will be more forward thinking".

"Speaking to any of the young lads who have come up here to get the experience they all say it is fantastic to come up here and have the opportunity play in games of that size with that pressure and that expectation and learn from it".

Gerrard - who was reluctant to discuss his Worrall move before being given the green light by Forest - said: "Grezda is now having a medical and I don't want to say too much until it's over the line".

"I don't necessarily see it as a dugout battle, I see it as the teams on the field".

The players have put in a lot of effort and a lot of hard work to get this opportunity and they deserve the opportunity, but it's important we go and finish the job off.

"They are always good games to watch anyway, but there is a bit of added spice this time with the two managers (Rodgers and Gerrard) going up against each other and their history".

Rodgers attempted to downplay his individual matchup with Gerrard ahead of this weekend's Old Firm and insisted that Gerrard has had a positive impact on his new club. Try to analyse them the best we can.

"I want them to play relaxed and play the way they have done in the previous seven games". They will be able to make a check on Ufa's artificial surface prior to the match.

After their 1-0 win over the Russian Premier League outfit in the first leg of their Europa League playoff clash at Ibrox, Rangers will now take the long road to the Neftyanik Stadium to try and secure continental football at least until the end of the year.
